Index of severity for Osteoarthritis of the hip

This tool is intended for healthcare professionals. It is an evaluation tool used and validated in clinical medicine and by healthcare professionals, to whom it gives an expert view to understand patient´s condition. A self-measurement test will not be sufficient to complete and interpret correctly these scales.
The Lequesne algofunctional index is used to assess the impact of pain associated with hip osteoarthritis on the daily functioning of patients. This index evaluates the severity and frequency pain, claudication distance, and difficulties in daily life. This scale can be used to monitor a patient and track treatment efficacy.
