The term well-being refers to two main designations: physical and psychological. The physical well-being is defined by the feeling of good overall physiological health or in other words, the satisfaction of the body’s basic needs (health, pleasure, and self-realization). Nutrition plays an increasingly important role in disease prevention. A balanced diet helps limit risk factors for obesity or diabetes, and in the elderly, a healthy diet in appropriate amounts can prevent the onset of undernourishment.
